Chris Burk is responsible for overseeing plant operations at Vexor’s Gary, Indiana facility. Chris’ duties include managing and supervising facility personnel; administering regulatory, safety programs and preventive maintenance programs; directing daily material processing activities; assisting in material acceptance determinations; and responsibility for maintaining operational cost control.
Prior to joining Vexor, Chris oversaw regional plant operations for Organix Recycling, a large food waste depackaging and recycling company. His work involved development of regulatory compliance and safety programs, customer relationship management, administering preventive maintenance programs, vendor management, and collection route inspections and oversight. Chris also has experience in the waste industry working as an operations supervisor for Republic Services where he supervised collection activities within multiple lines of business over a five county area including overseeing safety and accident prevention programs to ensure all reasonable actions were taken to prevent accidents and injuries; ensuring a safe and productive work environment for all employees; implementing and maintaining effective loss control and safety programs.
